Sojitz Corporation held a signing ceremony for the purchase agreements of two business jets—the Global 6500 and the Global 8000—with Bombardier on October 14, 2025, during the NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) convention held in Las Vegas, United States.
The Global 8000 to be introduced under this agreement is Bombardier’s flagship aircraft, offering the world’s highest speed and the longest range in its class, with the capability to operate nonstop flights between Japan and the United States. Through the introduction of this aircraft, Sojitz will launch Japan’s first shared ownership program for large, ultra-long-range business jets—the Share Jet Program (SJP)—and will propose a new model for business jet utilization, primarily across the Asian region.
The signing ceremony was attended by Yohei Sakurai, General Manager of Business Jet Department at Sojitz, and Éric Martel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bombardier.
