Sojitz Begins Charter Operations of Cayman Island Registered Aircraft

Phenix Jet, the business jet operator of Sojitz Corporation Group, has begun offeringbusiness jet charter services (non-scheduled charter flights) for Cayman Islandregistered aircraft in order to meet diversifying client needs.

In Asia, there is a rising demand for Cayman Islandregistered business jets. In order to provide charter services for Caymanregistered jets(non-scheduled charter flights), Sojitzacquired Phenix Jet Cayman SEZC(“Phenix Jet Cayman”) as a subsidiary, making it possible to add Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 7X to its management fleet for charter on the subsidiary’sCayman Islands Air Operator’s Certificate (“Cayman AOC”).

The Cayman AOC allows for long-range charter flights to be offered on aircraft such as the Falcon 7X as well as ultralong-rangejetssuch a Bombardier’s Global 7500 and Gulfstream’s G650ER. By maximizing the performance and features of these long-range aircraft, Sojitz can offer charterflights that meet wide-ranging needs.

Sojitz was one of the first companies in Japan to start a private jet business back in 2003 and has been providing aircraft management services for business jets since 2005. In 2017, Sojitz went on to establish Phenix Jet International, LLC, which conducts aircraft management for U.S.registered aircraft.
